Hanuman Aarti

जाके बल से गिरिवर कांपे, रोग दोष जाके निकट न झांके।
अंजनि पुत्र महा बलदाई, संतन के प्रभु सदा सहाई॥

Jake bal se girivar kanpe, rog dosh jake nikat na jhanke,
Anjani putra maha baldai, santan ke prabhu sada sahai.

Even the mountains tremble at his strength, and sickness and misfortune dare not come near him. Son of Anjani and giver of great strength, he is the lord who always stands by the good.

उनके बल से पर्वत भी काँप उठते हैं और रोग-दोष उनके पास तक नहीं आते। अंजनी के पुत्र बहुत बल देने वाले हैं और सज्जनों के सदा सहायक हैं।

दे बीरा रघुनाथ पठाए, लंका जारि सिया सुधि लाए।
लंका सो कोट समुद्र सी खाई, जात पवनसुत बार न लाई॥

De bira Raghunath pathaye, Lanka jari Siya sudhi laye,
Lanka so kot samudra si khai, jat Pavansut bar na lai.

Rama handed him the betel leaf of a sacred task and sent him on his way; he set Lanka ablaze and brought back word of Sita. Lanka was a fortress with the ocean for its moat, yet the son of the Wind crossed it without a moment’s pause.

श्री राम ने उन्हें बीड़ा देकर भेजा; उन्होंने लंका जलाई और माता सीता का समाचार लाए। लंका ऐसा किला था जिसकी खाई समुद्र थी, फिर भी पवनपुत्र को उसे पार करने में ज़रा भी देर नहीं लगी।

लंका जारि असुर संहारे, सियारामजी के काज संवारे।
लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे, आनि संजीवन प्राण उबारे॥

Lanka jari asur sanhare, Siyaramji ke kaj sanvare,
Lakshman murchhit pade sakare, ani sanjivan pran ubare.

He burned Lanka, destroyed the demons and carried out every task of Sita and Rama. When Lakshmana fell senseless in battle, he brought the life-giving herb and saved his life.

उन्होंने लंका जलाकर राक्षसों का संहार किया और सीता-राम के सारे काम सँवारे। जब लक्ष्मण जी मूर्छित होकर गिर पड़े, तब वे संजीवनी बूटी लाए और उनके प्राण बचाए।

पैठि पाताल तोरि जम-कारे, अहिरावण की भुजा उखारे।
बाएं भुजा असुरदल मारे, दाहिने भुजा संतजन तारे॥

Paithi patal tori jam kare, Ahiravan ki bhuja ukhare,
Baen bhuja asur dal mare, dahine bhuja santjan tare.

He went down into Patala, the underworld, broke through its deadly guards and tore away the arms of Ahiravana. With his left arm he struck down the demon armies; with his right he carried the good to safety.

वे पाताल लोक में घुसे, यम जैसे भयानक पहरेदारों को तोड़ डाला और अहिरावण की भुजाएँ उखाड़ दीं। बाईं भुजा से उन्होंने राक्षसों की सेना को मारा और दाईं भुजा से संतों को पार लगाया।

सुर नर मुनि आरती उतारें, जय जय जय हनुमान उचारें।
कंचन थार कपूर लौ छाई, आरती करत अंजना माई॥

Sur nar muni aarti utaren, jai jai jai Hanuman ucharen,
Kanchan thar kapur lau chhai, aarti karat Anjana mai.

Gods, people and sages wave the lamp before him and cry out, “Victory, victory, victory to Hanuman!” On a golden plate the camphor flame spreads its light, and Mother Anjana herself performs his aarti.

देवता, मनुष्य और मुनि उनकी आरती उतारते हैं और “जय जय जय हनुमान” का जयकारा लगाते हैं। सोने की थाली में कपूर की लौ जगमगा रही है और माता अंजना स्वयं उनकी आरती कर रही हैं।

जो हनुमानजी की आरती गावे, बसि बैकुंठ परम पद पावे।
लंक विध्वंस किए रघुराई, तुलसीदास स्वामी कीर्ति गाई॥

Jo Hanumanji ki aarti gave, basi Baikunth param pad pave,
Lank vidhvans kiye Raghurai, Tulsidas swami kirti gai.

Whoever sings this aarti of Hanuman will live in Vaikuntha and reach the highest state. Rama, of the line of Raghu, laid Lanka low, and Tulsidas sings the glory of his master.

जो हनुमान जी की यह आरती गाता है, वह बैकुंठ में बसकर परम पद पाता है। श्री राम ने लंका का विनाश किया, और तुलसीदास ने अपने स्वामी का यश गाया।
