Om Jai Lakshmi Mata

उमा, रमा, ब्रह्माणी, तुम ही जग-माता।
सूर्य-चन्द्रमा ध्यावत, नारद ऋषि गाता॥

Uma Rama Brahmani, tum hi jag mata,
Surya Chandrama dhyavat, Narad rishi gata.

You are Uma, Rama and Brahmani; you alone are mother of the world. The sun and the moon meditate on you, and the sage Narada sings your praise.

आप ही उमा, रमा और ब्रह्माणी हैं; आप ही सारे संसार की माता हैं। सूर्य और चंद्रमा आपका ध्यान करते हैं और नारद मुनि आपके गुण गाते हैं।

Then the refrain: Om Jai Lakshmi Mata…

दुर्गा रूप निरंजनि, सुख सम्पति दाता।
जो कोई तुमको ध्यावत, ऋद्धि-सिद्धि धन पाता॥

Durga roop niranjani, sukh sampati data,
Jo koi tumko dhyavat, riddhi siddhi dhan pata.

In the form of Durga you are pure and spotless, the giver of happiness and wealth. Whoever meditates on you gains success, fulfilment and plenty.

दुर्गा के रूप में आप निर्मल और पवित्र हैं, और सुख व धन देने वाली हैं। जो भी आपका ध्यान करता है, उसे सफलता, पूर्णता और भरपूर धन मिलता है।

Then the refrain: Om Jai Lakshmi Mata…

तुम पाताल निवासिनि, तुम ही शुभदाता।
कर्म-प्रभाव-प्रकाशिनी, भवनिधि की त्राता॥

Tum patal nivasini, tum hi shubhdata,
Karma prabhav prakashini, bhavnidhi ki trata.

You dwell even in the worlds below, and you alone grant what is good. You bring the fruit of our actions to light and carry us across the ocean of worldly life.

आप नीचे के लोकों में भी रहती हैं, और केवल आप ही शुभ फल देती हैं। आप हमारे कर्मों का फल सामने लाती हैं और हमें संसार रूपी सागर से पार लगाती हैं।

जिस घर में तुम रहती, सब सद्गुण आता।
सब सम्भव हो जाता, मन नहीं घबराता॥

Jis ghar mein tum rahti, sab sadgun aata,
Sab sambhav ho jata, man nahin ghabrata.

Every virtue comes to the home where you live. All things become possible there, and the mind knows no fear.

जिस घर में आप रहती हैं, वहाँ हर अच्छा गुण आ जाता है। वहाँ सब कुछ संभव हो जाता है और मन को कोई डर नहीं रहता।

तुम बिन यज्ञ न होते, वस्त्र न कोई पाता।
खान-पान का वैभव, सब तुमसे आता॥

Tum bin yagya na hote, vastra na koi pata,
Khan paan ka vaibhav, sab tumse aata.

Without you no sacred offering could be made and no one would have clothes to wear. All the plenty of food and drink comes from you.

आपके बिना कोई यज्ञ नहीं हो सकता और किसी को पहनने के लिए कपड़े नहीं मिलते। खाने-पीने की सारी भरपूरी आपसे ही आती है।

शुभ-गुण मन्दिर सुन्दर, क्षीरोदधि-जाता।
रत्न चतुर्दश तुम बिन, कोई नहीं पाता॥

Shubh gun mandir sundar, kshirodadhi jata,
Ratna chaturdash tum bin, koi nahin pata.

Beautiful temple of every good quality, born of the ocean of milk: without you, no one could have gained the fourteen treasures that rose from that ocean.

आप हर अच्छे गुण का सुंदर मंदिर हैं और क्षीर सागर से प्रकट हुई हैं। आपके बिना उस सागर से निकले चौदह रत्न कोई नहीं पा सकता था।

महालक्ष्मी जी की आरती, जो कोई जन गाता।
उर आनन्द समाता, पाप उतर जाता॥

Mahalakshmi ji ki aarti, jo koi jan gata,
Ur anand samata, paap utar jata.

Whoever sings this aarti of Mahalakshmi is filled with joy, and their wrongdoings fall away.

जो भी महालक्ष्मी जी की यह आरती गाता है, उसका मन आनंद से भर जाता है और उसके पाप दूर हो जाते हैं।
